Williamson County Pumpkin Fest


Autumn Children’s Festival
The Autumn Children’s Festival is one of the largest and longest running children’s festival in the Tennessee Valley and typically attracts over 3,000 attendees during the two days in October.  Festival goers enjoy: Star Wars characters, princesses, superheroes, inflatables, a petting zoo, face painting, kiddie train, carnival games with prizes, arts and crafts, as well as health and wellness and educational programs. Admission and parking are FREE!  Activities range from only 50 cents to $3. The festival is made possible by a partnership with the Tennessee Society of CPAs and generously supported by many area businesses.  The event generates over $80,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga each year. 

Kids Arts Festival of Tennessee
Kids Arts Festival offers stage performances, art sale, master classes, art stops, and exhibits. The event, held in Franklin, features a juried art exhibit, stage performers, art stops, and hand crafted art sales.





Kidsville Family Festival at Centennial Park

The Kidsville Family Festival features Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Reading Tent. The event is held in Nashville. Also included is Nashville Predators Fitness Zone, music and dance performances, character photo station, craft activities, nature & sensory play, and face painting. Enjoy inflatable ball games, food trucks, child-focused vendors, local nonprofits, and more family fun.




Lavender Festival

The Lavender Festival is a free annual event in Historic Jackson Square, Oak Ridge. The festival features 150 artisans, live music, local food, informative presentations, a Tennessee wine tasting, children’s activities and more! Lavender Festival celebrates health, herbs and the environment, and invites visitors to Jackson Square, the original townsite of Oak Ridge.


Rocky Mount’s Fall Family Festival
Rocky Mount Fall Family Festival offers supervised harvest-themed crafts geared toward children but fun for all kids and adults of all ages. These crafts will include corn shuck dolls, candle making and pumpkin painting. Also, demonstrations such as blacksmithing, cider making and hatchet-throwing take place throughout the day. One of the biggest attractions in Fall Festival history is making apple butter on-site the old-fashioned way. This demonstration is ongoing throughout the entire event. Apple butter will also be available for purchase on-site all day. The Cobb House and other historic buildings will feature seasonal interpretation and storytelling. Rocky Mount’s Master Gardener volunteers will be leading tours in the historic gardens.


Southern Festival of Books
The Southern Festival of Books: A Celebration of the Written Word? is going virtual in 2020. Humanities Tennessee, the organizer of the state’s largest literary event, will transition the three-day festival to virtual access for the health and safety of attendees, authors, volunteers, and partners, during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Readers and writers from across Tennessee, and the world, will be able to celebrate the joy of reading and lifelong learning while enjoying sessions online with more than 100 authors. 



Tennessee Soybean Festival
The Award-Winning Tennessee Soybean Festival has collaborative efforts of the University of Tennessee at Martin, local industry and businesses, leaders in agriculture, churches and community organizations, and countless other volunteers who work together to produce a prestigious festival each year. The Tennessee Soybean Festival provides an opportunity for food, fun and fellowship, all in celebration of Weakley County’s cash crop- the soybean. The event pays tribute to the soybean farmer, yet includes something for everyone. From humble beginnings the festival has grown to have more 20,000 attendees throughout the week. The Tennessee Soybean Festival, held in Martin, places a major emphasis on the soybean, education, community, families and children.



Tennessee Steam Festival
The Tennessee STEAM Festival brings science, technology, engineering, art and math to life at events across the state! The Tennessee STEAM Festival aspires to build interest and excitement in STEAM, and cultivate the next generation of citizen and professional science advocates and practitioners by leveraging local partnerships from across the region.



Williamson County Pumpkin Fest
The Williamson County Pumpkin Fest includes activities such as Williamson County High School Battle of the Bands, revamped costume parade and Leiper’s Fork Distillery Whiskey Lounge. Another exciting addition to Pumpkinfest will be activities at Franklin Grove Estate and Gardens, including a Heritage Classroom pop-up, pumpkin patch, photo opportunity, book talks and more. The Famous Kids Zone is produced by Church of the City. Contests include: Revamped costume parade down Main Street in Franklin, People Costume Contest, and a Pet Costume Contest. There are Hundreds of craft and food vendors.
