1. Bloomin’ Barbeque & Bluegrass
This family oriented event celebrating the beauty of spring, championship barbeque and world class bluegrass music. Bloomin' Barbeque & Bluegrass takes place during Smoky Mountain Springfest in historic downtown Sevierville, Tennessee. The Barbeque Cook-Off is an official barbeque championship of the state of Tennessee.



2. Cleveland Apple Festival™

The Cleveland Apple Festival™ is a family event held in downtown Cleveland. This annual festival offers a juried art and craft show, live bluegrass music, food booths, pony and hay rides, entertainment, children's activities and much more! All children's activities are free to children 12 and under including pony rides.


3. Cowpea Festival and Cook-off

The Cowpea Festival features a professional cowpea cook-off. Other events include live music all day, food and craft vendors, and kids activities. There is storytelling, a family fun field, a heritage area and an agri-heritage photo contest. The event is held in Charleston, Tennessee.


4. Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational Barbecue
Every year, more than 40,000 visitors descend on Lynchburg for one of the most prestigious competitions in all of BBQ.




5. National Banana Pudding Festival
Head to Centerville, Tennessee and watch the National Banana Pudding cook-off. The best pudding chefs in the country make their best recipe live for the judges. There is also fun shopping at nearly 100 craft vendors. There's lots of fun for kids of all ages in the Little 'Nanners area. Live music will keep you entertained all day.



6. National Cornbread Festival
The National Cornbread Festival is a weekend-long celebration of cornbread and many cornbread related activities for adults and kids. You’ll find the festival in the quaint town of South Pittsburg, Tennessee every year during the last full weekend in April. Play games, ride carnival rides, and enjoy wandering through the booths that line the streets of historic South Pittsburg. Enjoy cornbread, handmade arts and crafts. Taste Southern, artisan treats like honey, fudge, and rock candies. The festival is packed with great family fun – including a Kid’s Corner with games, face painting, and inflatables!



7. Reelfoot Arts and Crafts Festival
The Reelfoot Arts and Crafts Festival is held the first weekend of October in Union City, Tennessee. Over 300 Exhibitors from several states and thousands of shoppers descend upon Reelfoot Lake for this three day annual event.




8. Shady Valley Cranberry Festival
Shady Valley Annual Cranberry Festival is held on the 2nd full weekend in October. On Friday evening, 5:00PM-7:00PM is the Bean Supper and Auction. Both activities are at the Shady Valley Elementary School. Saturday is an all day event. Start your day with a pancake breakfast at the Shady Valley Volunteer Fire Hall. At 10:00AM a parade starts at the Shady Valley Presbyterian Church and includes the Johnson County Band, floats, Citizen of the Year, Johnson County Car Cruisers Club, horses, and much more. The parade ends at the school grounds where the rest of the festival takes place. This festival has been called the "The Best Little Festival in Tennessee." Located in Butler, TN.



9. Taste of Autumn
The annual Taste of Autumn event is held at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. Live entertainment, live auction with cash bar. $25 per person. 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This is a United Way fundraiser and features a variety of foods from many of the area’s finest restaurants. Attendees will enjoy unlimited sampling from all the restaurants from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and have a chance to bid on some great live auction items. 100% of the proceeds go to the United Way of Sevier County.



10. Tennessee Strawberry Festival
Tennessee Strawberry Festival is a 10 day long extravaganza, jam-packed with a myriad variety of events and activities. It is sponsored by the Dayton Chamber of Commerce. This Rhea County festival includes a parade, square dancing, live bands, and attractions.

11. The World's Biggest Fish Fry
The "World's Biggest Fish Fry" emerged as one of Tennessee's premier annual festivals which draws tens of thousands of visitors into Paris and Henry County during the last full week of April. Held in Buchanan, Tennessee.




12. Tipton County Bar-B-Que Festival
The Tipton County Bar-B-Que Festival is the world's oldest bar-b-que cook-off. It is held in Covington, Tennessee. Features Colgate country showdown state finals, demolition derby, truck pull, vendors, crafts and food, music, judging of team sauce, dessert, rib, shoulder, BBQ, anything but pork, best booth, Jr. livestock show, kids playground and more. Held in October.



13. Unicoi County Apple Festival
The Unicoi County Apple Festival has been consistantly named one of the Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Events in the Southeast and a two-year winner of a Northeast Tennessee Tourism Association’s Pinnacle Award. The festival is a premier two-day event that features handmade crafts, a variety of unique foods, two entertainment stages highlighting local, regional and national talent, a large children’s area. There is also a Blue-Ridge Pottery Show and Sale, an Apple Festival Pageant, tennis tournament, a cooking contest and much more. The festival has over 300 vendors and is held in Erwin, TN.



14. Wine over Water
Wine Over Water is Tennessee's premier wine-tasting festival. You can sample wines from over 100 world wineries while you stroll the historic Walnut Street Bridge, which spans the scenic Tennessee river. Throughout the festival, several local restaurants will offer tastes of their signature dishes. Enjoy wine selections from all corners of the globe, while talented regional musicians entertain you with everything from jazz to bluegrass and everything in between. The festival takes place in Chattanooga.
